What is a Lash Lift?
Lashes have their natural curved shape; lash lift is the alteration of the curvature and the increase of volume using a chemical lotion. The entire process is carried out in an aseptic environment by a licensed specialist.
You and your therapist will determine the type and style of lash you want and it can be achieved. Depending on the need and the type of eyelashes you have, the specialist will select the size of the curling rod necessary to shape your eyelashes.
The specialist will then clean your eye area and place a silicone rod over your eyelids. The natural lashes are then curled and attached to the bar with an adhesive that fixes the lashes. After the specialist makes sure that everything is in the correct position, a firming lotion will be applied to allow the lashes to mold around the curling rod. The next step is to fix the shape; this is achieved by using a setting lotion that fixes the shape of the lashes.
The lash lift process could last from 45 to 60 minutes. Depending on the growth of your eyelashes, the result can last between four to six weeks. Also, you should avoid applying mascara for 48 hours after the process, and you should not touch, apply makeup, or wash your lashes for 24 hours.
